PA Department of the Auditor General

Pennsylvania’s Right to Know Law (RTKL) gives people access to the public records of government agencies.

Read the Department of the Auditor General’s RTKL policy.

Question vs. Record

If you decide to file a RTKL request, make sure you are seeking a record and not an answer to a question. If you are seeking an answer to a question, submit it to the department via our Contact Us form.

Find Audits

You do not need to formally submit a RTKL request to access our audits; they are publicly accessible via our Audits webpage.

The Department of the Auditor General cannot produce public records that belong to other government agencies.
