About This Audit

The compliance audit of the Juniata County Treasurer, Pennsylvania, was conducted for the license period January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023 (Fishing and Dog) and July 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023 (Hunting). The objective was to ensure that all collected moneys for hunting, fishing, and dog licenses were accurately assessed, reported, and promptly remitted. The audit, guided by Section 401(d) of The Fiscal Code, concluded that the County Officer complied with relevant state laws and regulations. Internal controls for collection processes were successfully maintained, as per the report. Data representing receipts and disbursements were obtained from various commissions, and adjustments were disclosed as needed, although the audit did not express an opinion on the reported amounts’ accuracy. The audit found that moneys collected on behalf of the Commonwealth were properly managed. This report is exclusive to this audit’s objectives and is unsuitable for other purposes.
