About This Audit

A Limited Procedures Engagement (LPE) audit was conducted for the Hooversville Volunteer Firemen’s Relief Association from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2023. The audit was based on various Pennsylvania state laws and the Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association Act to ensure funds were properly expended and aid was correctly deposited. Total expenditures during this period were $21,898, which were reviewed through bank statements, receipts, and interviews with association officials. The LPE found no unauthorized spending or incorrect aid deposits. Relief association officers are tasked with maintaining adequate internal controls and ensuring compliance with state laws and accurate financial records. The audit concluded with no issues, acknowledging the cooperation of the relief association officials. This report has been distributed to relevant municipal officials and is a public document.
