Firemen’s Relief Association of Warrington Township – Bucks County – Audit Period January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023

A Limited Procedures Engagement (LPE) was conducted on the Firemen’s Relief Association of Warrington Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, for January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2023. It aimed to ensure fund expenditures were authorized and state aid funds were correctly deposited, following the Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association Act and Act 205 of 1984. The LPE included examining $521,965 of expenditure transactions, interviewing officials, and verifying state aid deposits. The relief association expended $1,144,493 during this period. The audit found no unauthorized fund expenditures or improper state aid deposit handling. The relief association’s total cash as of December 31, 2023, was $906,297. The engagement report was shared with Warrington Township and Doylestown Township officials and is publicly accessible. The Auditor General thanked association officials for their cooperation. This report underscores the importance of maintaining comprehensive documentation for future audits.
