Roxborough Memorial Hospital – Philadelphia County – Amended Financial Report for the Period July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023

The amended financial report for the Medical Assistance Program of the Department of Human Services, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, covers Roxborough Memorial Hospital for the fiscal year from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023. The Auditor General addresses adjustments made to the hospital’s submitted MA-336 Cost Report to certify accurate cost reporting. Adjustments were necessary for various statistical and financial components, such as inpatient days, MA days, and discharges, as well as certain cost centers. The report highlights adjustments particularly concerning the new Medical Rehab Unit’s capital costs, which were deemed nonallowable. Despite unidentified reliability in some data from the PROMISe™ system, the final amended report accurately states the facility’s costs regarding inpatient care under the Medical Assistance Program. This report is intended for DHS to set the Medical Assistance reimbursement rate for Roxborough Memorial Hospital’s new Medical Rehab Unit.
