About This Audit

An independent auditor examined the Liquid Fuels Tax Fund of the Township of Conewago in Adams County, Pennsylvania, for 2023 to ensure compliance with state regulations. The audit assessed the accuracy of Form MS-965 with Adjustments, using standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Government Auditing Standards. The audit aimed to verify proper fund use per the Liquid Fuels Tax Municipal Allocation Law and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s guidelines. The auditors found that the form was materially accurate and the township complied with necessary laws and regulations. No significant deficiencies were identified, though the audit did not focus on the overall internal control system. The township must comply with specific reporting and resolution criteria to continue receiving funds. This report is limited to assessing fund compliance and is unsuitable for other purposes.
